Training is considered a vital tool for imparting latest knowledge about reinsurance and marketing of reinsurance to employees of reinsurance companies.PRC, Northern Zonal Office, Lahore, organised a two day training programme for its officers/staff members belonging to Underwriting Departments at Northern Zonal Office, Lahore, on 14th and 15th May, 2008. Mr. M. Rafique Ch., ACII, Chartered Insurer, Executive Director, Universal Insurance Company Limited, is undoubtedly one of the most respected scholar of insurance/reinsurance in our industry. He delivered a lecture on Reinsurance Risk Analysis on 14th May. In his lecture he explained the basis of Risk Management and Types of Reinsurance. The lecture was actively participated by the participants and was followed by a question/answer session. Mrs. Ghazala Imran, General Manager (NZ), thanked him for giving his precious time for delivering lecture to employees of NZO.
On 15th May, Mr. Qamar Abbas, MBA (Marketing & HR), MA (Economics), Ph. D. Scholar, Assistant Manager, NZO, spoke about importance of Team Management emphasising that teamwork is about situational leadership and the person having relevant core competency for a particular situation take the leadership. The speech was found to be thought provoking and lighter in tone. The speaker used interesting slides in the talk to enforce his viewpoint.
The training sessions were followed by light refreshments. Encouraged with the success of the training programme the management of NZO is contemplating to organise another training programme on Reinsurance; and Reinsurance Law in the next month.
